Personal Package Archive Instructions

What in the world is a PPA you ask? It's an acronym for Personal Package Archive.

Current Version: 2.2.0 - release notes

Using this PPA is simple! Just enter the following commands, and that's it.

Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty) and above

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openshot.developers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openshot-qt

Now that OpenShot is installed, you should be able to launch it from your Applications menu, or from the terminal ($ openshot-qt). Every time we update OpenShot, you will now be prompted to update to the newest version. It's a great way to test our latest features.
